Conditions improving across manhattan!

Restaurants across Manhattan are starting to respond to the daily Saigon Grill pickets. Delivery workers from many other restaurants are reporting their wages have gone up and their working hours have shortened. For example, one restaurant decreased workers' hours while raising wages from $400 a month to $700 a month!

However, Saigon Grill continues the lockout of their delivery workers. In the coming weeks, WE MUST STEP UP THE PRESSURE to insure true victory for the Saigon Grill workers, and to insure recent improvements taking place in other restaurants are here to stay.

dont you mean FORMER Saigon Grill workers? I don't see Saigon Grill rehiring those delivery boys.. I mean, I wouldn't after all the crap they've been putting the restaurant through.. if you were the owners, would you?

Despite the fact that owner Simone Nget fired the workers, this does not mean he will not rehire the workers. A number of other restaraunt worker cases such as Golden Bridge, Ming Dynasty, East Buffet, etc. were forced to rehire their workers. In some cases, conditions and relations between the bosses and workers improved, as bosses learned to respect the workers.

Also, what "Crap" we ask do we put the restaraunt through? After illegally paying its workers $1.60
an hour, fining delivery workers, and firing workers when they rightfully demanded their back wages and raises, how else do workers fight back against these conditions they were put through? Rather than taking the view of Simone Nget and his management cronies, we ask you consider the struggle of these workers at this restaraunt.

We encourage those who wish to understand this struggle to come out to the picket line at Saigon Grill and actaully talk to the workers.
